$5,000 La Roche University Scholarship
Worried about college payments? Alleviate your stress with a $5,000 scholarship to La Roche University. This scholarship is redeemable by a graduating high school senior entering La Roche University as a freshman in the fall of 2023.
The student must have applied and been admitted as a full time student according to normal admissions guidelines. The scholarship will be awarded to the student by way of crediting the student's account, $2,500 for the fall of 2023 and $2,500 for the spring of 2024 (normal scholarship awarding procedure).

Recipient must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits per term) as an undergraduate in the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2023-2024 academic year. Any academic scholarship dollars the recipient receives will not be adversely impacted by this one-time award.

$3,000 Carlow University Scholarship
This one-time, non-transferrable $3,000 award is available to a traditional full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Carlow University during the 2023-2024 academic year. This award will be disbursed over the course of the academic year ($1,500 per semester). If the student should transfer out of Carlow, any remaining amount of the grant not dispersed would be forfeited.
Must provide name of the student who will take advantage of the scholarship to the Office of Admissions no later than August 1, 2023. As part of the student's overall financial aid offer, the scholarship may be combined with institutional scholarships and grants (if applicable), provided they do not exceed direct (billed) costs. Funds may not be redeemed for cash.

Yellow Jackets: How does $1,000 per year sound? This $4,000 Waynesburg University Scholarship is redeemable by any undergraduate student beginning enrollment in the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 academic year.
Recipient will be awarded $1,000 per year for up to four (4) years. The scholarship has no monetary value but value is credited on the recipient's University account ($500 for fall semester and $500 for the spring semester). Must begin enrollment in 2023/2024 or 2024/2025 academic year. Scholarship is non-transferable and is forfeited if the recipient withdraws or is dismissed from the University. Valid for undergraduate students only.

Introductory Self Defense Class for up to 12 people
This 1.5 hour self-defense class for up to 12 people is ideal for anyone looking for basic skills and strategies to defend yourself should the need arise. The class, taught by OLSH Parent Susan Kalich, 6th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Certified Kage-Essensu Instructor, does not focus on fighting techniques, but rather self-defense techniques and survival skills. The class will cover personalized, survival self-defense, victimization prevention and practical real-world application. It is efficient, effective, and hands-on training with a focus on awareness, preparedness and creating the correct mental space to defend oneself from the most common type of attacker. This highly effective class is designed for any adult with any level of strength or experience, including beginners, with a special focus on women. It will cover techniques such as hand, elbow, and knee strikes that can be used by a person of any size or skill level who is grabbed, pushed, or assaulted. The techniques are designed to help any person defend themselves if attacked by an unarmed, untrained attacker, accounting for more than 90 percent of self-defense scenarios.
Attire should be comfortable, but attendees are welcome to wear any clothing, from athletic wear to business attire, as self-defense situations can arise no matter what you’re wearing.
Class may be held in a home, office, outside, or otherwise agreed upon location.
